An artificial collection of five photograph albums that document the equipment and assets of several power and light companies in the United States circa 1910 to 1925. The five companies represented are the Grays Harbor Railway & Light Company of Houquiam, Washington, the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company, the Utah Power and Light Company, the Mississippi River Power Company of Keokuk, Iowa, and the Federal Light and Traction Company. The photographs illustrate the companies' properties and facilities, including dams, powerhouses, substations, offices, railways, and transmission lines. The locales depicted include Albuquerque, New Mexico;Allentown and Hazleton, Pennsylvania; Houquiam, Washington; Keokuk, Iowa; Las Vegas, Nevada; Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah; Springfield, Missouri; and Trinidad, Colorado. The photographs notably include local street scenes and images of the areas served by the companies.
